Why We Shout In Anger

A Hindu saint who was visiting river Ganges to take bath found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger and each other. He turned to His disciples smiled 'n asked.

' Why do people shout in anger and shouted each other? '

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout. "But, why should you shout When the other person is just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft MANNER. ' asked the saint

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples.

Finally the saint explained,.

'When two people are angry and each other, THEIR hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance They must be able to shout to hear each other. The angrier They are, the stronger They will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance.

What happens When two people fall in love? They do not shout each other and When They are angry but talk softly, Because THEIR hearts are very close. Between them is the distance Either nonexistent or very small ... '

The saint continued, 'When They love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper 'n They get even closer to each other in THEIR love. They finally even need not whisper, They only look at each other 'n that's all. That is how close two people are When They love each other. '

And this is the Language of Love, are priority Guru speaks with millions of HIS Disciples spread across the Globe.
He looked at his disciples and said.

'So When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, Do not say words that distance each other more, Or else there will come a day When the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.'

Can Blueberries Improve Your Memory

When I was younger, blueberries always seemed to be one of the more ‘boring’ berries as opposed to its cousins—strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. I tended to avoid them and went for the sweeter options, but now that I’m older, things have changed quite a bit between the berries and I. I have come to realize that blueberries have followed the trend of foods that ‘don’t taste that great but are super-healthy for you,’ and I have forced myself to start liking them.

Now, they are pretty much the only berry I eat on a regular basis! But what are so great about them? When it comes to ‘brain food,’ blueberries must be somewhere at the top of your list, or your list will lose all validity. It is no secret that your brain power will skyrocket if you eat a handful of these berries each day—and yes, that includes and improved memory.

That means that blueberries can improve memory are especially beneficial for older folks who want to avoid memory loss and the Alzheimer’s disease. It also helps to regulate blood sugar and high blood pressure. It has an extremely high level of anti-oxidants compared to other fruits and amazingly acts as a good natural anti-depressant. It promotes urinary tract health, it helps with anti-aging, it lowers oxidative stress in nerve cells, daily intake of this stuff even increases eNOS activity.

Of course, how can I forget that it can help to ward off many cancers including breast, colon, esophagus, and small intestine. Trying to lose weight? It’s also known for getting rid of belly fat! Okay, you’ve probably heard enough by now, it’s now in your hands whether you want to incorporate them in your diet or not.

I normally add a handful of them to my protein shake or sometimes I take a few and sprinkle them on my oatmeal. You can even freeze them and eat them as a frozen snack as they are one of the few fruits that don’t lose any nutrients during the freezing process. Enjoy!

The Art Of Listening

There once was a farmer who Discovered that he had lost His watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch Because it had sentimental value for him.

After searching high and low for our the hay a long while; He gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn.

He promised the children that the child who found it would be rewarded. Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the entire stack of hay but still could not find the watch.

They made a lot of noise, squealing and shouting as They pulled out all the hay, looked under it, through it and over it but there was no sign of the watch.

When the farmer was just about to give up looking for His watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance. The farmer looked at him and thought, "Why not? After all, this kid looks sincere enough. "

"But," said the little fellow, "I want to go in there alone!" So the farmer sent the little boy back in the barn.

After a while the little boy came out with the watch in His hand! The farmer was both happy and surprised and so he asked the boy how he succeeded where the rest had failed.

The boy replied, "I did nothing but sit on the ground and listen. In the silence, I heard the ticking of the watch and just looked for it in that direction. "

It's not that when we find time we will find silence,

But when we find silence; we will find time.

We look for things that are important to us, and are lost in the haystack we call everyday living. When we do find something, be it love, peace, success, satisfaction, we Become more and more frantic in our efforts, and so we miss the soft sound are priority can only be found When the well dies, When the frantic activity comes to a standstill and we can be silent

Only then will we find what needs to be found.

But by then, we have already found something much more important and meaningful:
Stillness.

The Importance Of New Year's Resolutions

The New Year is quickly approaching and the idea of a "fresh start" is usually more than enough of a boost to push people into making beneficial changes in THEIR lives. I grew up in Canada where the idea of creating New Year's resolutions before the ball drops was an extremely common practice, but after I moved to Florida, I realized not many people were familiar with this idea.

A New Year's resolution is basically a goal that you set for yourself at the beginning of dmg each ear to reach. Many people actually seize this opportunity to make an attempt and getting RID of a bad habit as smoking or drinking Such. Others use it as a chance to lose weight and eat healthier. But it can be anything you can think of. For example, I used to have a bad habit of littering every once in a while (nothing too major, maybe a straw wrapper here and there), so I Resolved to never litter again as my New Year's resolution last year. And today I'm proud to say I have been Faithfully litter-free for almost an entire year now.

Some have ask what is the significance of New Year's Day that we must make a resolution at that point in time rather than any other random day. The answer to that is there is no significance. Anyone can make beneficial changes to THEIR life and any time but the majority of society needs a "reality check" or a special holiday to remind them that time is WINDING down and They Should start making changes for the better, and New Year's time is perfect for just that.

But why is having a New Year's resolution so important anyways ? After all there is a Certain percentage of the world who feel as though They are where They want to be and think that no changes Should be made. Or is there? Think about it this way: there are 60 minutes in dmg each day and 24 hours in dmg each day, meaning there are 1,440 minutes dmg each day. Now how many of these do you use minutes out of you day to examine yourself?

I'm not talking about just glancing at the mirror, I'm talking about deep introspection, the measurement of your happiness / sorrow, making sure you are on the right track for where you want to be in life, making sure you still have that powerful Zeal for life, etc.. Probably not many. This Means that days, months and years go by and people never make positive changes in life THEIR Because they never take the time to realized that Should changes be made in the first place.

Many of us are too busy chasing after this or that thing that we are rarely even conscious of our own breath, let alone our physical, mental and emotional states. Of course, examination of daily life would be ideal but that there be too much to ask from the se days people are priority is why this exam is absolutely vital and least once per year.

Find out what's wrong in your life and make the resolution to change it, or think of a goal you'd like to reach and continue to pour forth your will power until that goal has been reached. Make the resolve and the beginning of dmg each year to be a better, happier individual you were last year and verbally affirm your resolution with confidence! Because remember, if you aren't Becoming happier with dmg each day then you are doing something wrong!

If you are having trouble thinking of a resolution, I've listed a few below for your convenience:

How To Make A Memory Jar

Today marks the beginning of a New Year for all of us and I think we all unconsciously share the same goal of having-a-better-year-than-last-year. Another thing that we can all agree on is that the years are flying by, rarely do they ever wait for anyone. This also means that at the end of the 12 month span, we may feel as though the time we spent wasn’t all too great—and that’s only because we haven’t kept track of it!

But how can we keep track of the year? I’m not a big fan of journals or diaries, primarily because I write a whole lot as it is. But after surfing the internet for some time, I came across the idea of a ‘memory jar’. I think it’s a wonderful idea and I believe that all of my readers should definitely make use of it.

How does it work? It’s very simple. You take a jar, any jar—I purchased a mason jar from my local craft store; and every time something memorable happens, you write it down, date it, and stick in the jar! Anything, good or bad can be put in the jar (good is preferable). You can also stick memorable photos, receipts, even movie tickets into the jar.

Then, when it’s time for the ball to drop next year, you go through all of the stuff in your jar and relive your year! It’s something quick and simple to do and it will definitely make you feel like the time you spent doing various things throughout the year was definitely worth it.

I ended up painting mine with some gold glass paint. I tried to do the Captain America logo, but as you can see below I failed miserably. But it’ll have to work! Hope you all give this a try, Happy New Year!

Story: The Blind Boy

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by His feet. He held up a sign are priority said: "I am blind, please help."

There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from His pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.

The boy recognized His footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write? "

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way. "
What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I can not see it."

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people They were so lucky that They were not blind.

Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

How To Handle Bad News

For many of us, life is a constant rise and fall of ‘happiness’. Some days everything is going exceptionally well and others, not so much. If you take a look around, this world is comprised of balance. Both good and ‘evil’ are prevalent just about everywhere—one cannot exist without the other. What happens when a lion attacks an antelope? The lion becomes happy because his family will get a meal for the day, and the antelope will be distraught because he is about to die.

This process of giving and taking is occurring simultaneously with each and every one of us, just about everywhere. Take the stock market for instance; there is only a limited amount of money, so when your stocks shoot up and you start doubling or tripling in profit, just know that there are many out there who are closing in on bankruptcy because of this. Today we may double in profit but tomorrow we may decline in order for someone else to double. There is a wise saying:

“Some days you’re the pigeon, some days you’re the statue.”

Whenever confronted with bad news (when you’re the statue), reminding yourself that balance is required is essential. It takes practice and one must learn to develop the habit of becoming unselfish, but it can be done. You must remember that you are experiencing problems at the present moment, but someone else is not. If you get a raise at your job—that is wonderful, but someone below you most likely got laid off in order to compensate for your higher pay. If you get laid off, someone else who needed a job much, much more probably got hired.

If you were to ask me what I think the most devastating of all ‘bad news’ could be, I would say it’s probably when you lose a loved one. But one must always keep in mind that life and death are two sides to the same coin. They are just different frequencies of the same consciousness. They belong to the process of giving and taking as well—when someone’s body expires and they leave the earth, it makes room for someone new to come and work out their karma. When a flower shrivels away, it leaves seeds to begin the cycle once more. One must learn to develop this universal and unselfish way of thought if they wish to handle bad news well.

Evenness of mind is also of utmost importance. Practice keeping your mind it’s natural, relaxed state. Not overflowing with excitement or rather gloomy with despair. Remain in the calm, peaceful state at all times and when something comes to throw you out of it, stand your ground with all of your might. Learn to look at everything without judgment, without categorization. Instead, look at everything with the mindset that such a thing must occur in order for the world to go on. I remember watching the movie Kung Fu Panda where the wise old turtle told his panicking disciple who came to him with bad news,

“There is no good or bad news. There is just news.”

Learning how to handle bad news is easily one of those things that none of us are ever taught to do, instead we are tossed into the battlefield of life and must fend for ourselves with no practical knowledge. Luckily for us, many saints and sages have come on earth to teach these very basic fundamentals through development of the mind.
